Arrival

We arrived at Manor Caravan Park to a warm welcome and a smooth check in. On arrival at Manor Caravan Park, we parked up in the large vehicle receiving area and checked in at the shop and check-in building.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and directed us to our pitch.

First Impressions

First impressions of Manor Caravan Park is that it was beautifully well set out, organised and well run. It was also wonderfully clean.

The staff were very helpful and showed us to our pitch. They also pointed out all of the facilities that were on offer and let us know what outside catering van would be visiting that evening.

There were near by water points, electric pitches and a drive-over motorhome service area.

Happisburgh Beach

One of the reasons I booked a pitch at Manor Caravan Park was its proximity to Happsiburgh Beach and lighthouse. The beach is a 10 minute stroll away from the campsite and is an absolute gem.

You can see the lighthouse from the campsite itself which adds to the sites beach-side charm!

Family-Friendly Features

The girls love a play-park, which sadly the Manor Caravan Park does not have. There are no specific child-friendly facilities on the campsite itself, however the girls spent so long tiring themselves out on the beach they didn’t seem to notice!

One of its best family friendly features is its wonderful toilet and shower block – it really is first class. The blocks are beautifully clean and have the radio playing away all day (which I love!). It also has two family shower rooms, which are always perfect for families, and baby changing facilities for campers with little ones.

On-Site Shop

Although not extensive, the on-site shop at Manor Caravan Park does stock some essential items. They also stocked a range of ice-creams and little treats which the girls thoroughly enjoyed!

Pub Nearby

On our wander to the beach, we clocked the village pub, The Hillhouse, and popped in on our way back to the campsite.

Unfortunately, on the day of our visit they were fully booked for food or we would have stopped for dinner. We did stop for a well-earned cold pint though.

The staff were really friendly and they had lovely beer gardens both at the front and back of the pub to soak up the sunshine.

Toilet and Shower Facilities

The toilet and Shower block at Manor Caravan Park is its party piece! The blocks are very modern and fabulously maintained.

There are large individual toilets and showers in the men’s and women’s blocks. Two large family shower rooms are also available.

Family shower blocks are always a huge plus and makes for a truly family friendly campsite in the UK. Anyone who has tried to take more than one child to the toilet or for a shower will know its tricky in limited space.

Family shower blocks allow you the space to get everyone clean in comfort without banging your head on the door every twenty seconds!

Manor Caravan Park also has dedicated baby changing facilities for those families who require.

There are also wonderful washing up facilities with hot water and well kept Elsan disposal.

Pitches and Facilities

Manor Caravan Park is a medium sized family friendly campsite. It has plenty of electric pitches in their two main fields. The campsite also has its own field for non-electric pitches.

All of the pitches are very spacious and well set out. No feeling hemmed in at this campsite!

The site also has washing up and laundry facilities as well as chemical toilet disposal and a motorhome service point.

Things to Do Nearby

Happisburgh Beach

As mentioned earlier, the campsite is just a short walk from Happisburgh Beach. The beach is down a steep slope but is still accessible even if you have to drag a buggy (or cart) along. The beach is sandy and has wonderful views.

It is also worth spending sometime reading up on the local costal erosion. In the not to distant future most of the town will probably be lost to the sea.

Cromer

A family favourite of ours is a visit to Cromer.

The view from Cromer Promenade

Whether you want to walk along the huge pier, or wander along the meandering promenade it is a true British seaside destination.

Head in-land and you will also find a charming town with plenty of quaint shops, pubs and restaurants.

Pro-tip: There is also a huge car park on the front at Cromer that accepts motorhomes and campervans.
